How to add gradients to Lottie animations?

So while a lot of us know that gradients in AE are not compatible with Lottie, I know that there are people out there who’ve sort of managed to hack it and create Lottie animations with gradients.

How are you able to do this?

Hi @mayli. To work with gradients use the effect native on shape layer (Gradient Fill). Effects like gradient ramp aren’t supported on lottie yet.
